This exclusively Brazilian environment’s name comes from its plants, usually white and dry. On this arid land in the Brazilian northeast, every drop of water brings the hope of abundance in the rare rainy periods.

In Caatinga, a particularly arid region of Brazilian Northeast lives Mandacaru: a cactus whose giant flowers with velvety-scent announce the return of the rain.

The design of the Mandacaru line is the fruit of the collaboration between Olivier Baussan and Joana Lira, a Brazilian illustrator and graphic artist.
