The Festival de Pâques: A Rendezvous for the Music Lovers of Provence

For the third year in a row, the Festival de Pâques is readying to delight classical music lovers. An event of growing popularity, that brings together the cream of artists of the genre, in the heart of the city of art of Aix-en-Provence.

Created by the violinist Renaud Capuçon, the chairman of the Grand Théâtre de Provence Dominique Bluzet and the sponsor of group Crédit Mutuel-CIC Michel Lucas, the Festival de Pâques is set to launch a new fortnight dedicated to discovering the talents of the classical music scene. From March 30 to April 12 2015, more than 800 artists will honor the best composers, via a host of exceptional concerts.

An event already destined to be a resounding success, judging by the number of reservations: 20% higher than last year. The success of the first two editions has indeed been sufficient to confer major cultural influence to this "French Salzburg," thereby transforming Provence into a major classical music destination.

And for good reason, because if the Festival de Pâques delights music lovers of the region, it has first and foremost managed to seduce the greatest musicians and symphony orchestras of the moment. Experienced artists like the pianist Martha Argerich or younger virtuosos such as the countertenor Philippe Jaroussky will be the pride of the festival’s resolutely flawless third edition!
