Located next to the Cours Mirabeau in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, in the Mazarin district, the Hotel de Caumont is currently undergoing a complete restoration and plans to reopen in spring 2015. Entirely renovated, the establishment intends to impose itself as an art center and hopes to quickly become THE major new cultural institution in the Aix region. Its goals? To facilitate access to culture for as many people as possible and create a unique place where art lovers and professionals will gather to experience art together with enthusiasm.
For its inauguration, the new art center of the Hôtel Caumont in Aix-en-Provence sets the bar high and dedicates its first exhibition to Canaletto, the seventeenth-century Venetian painter famous for his many panoramas of Venice. As for the program, this new cultural venue intends to welcome throughout the year many temporary exhibitions dedicated to the great masters of the history of art, from the fourteenth to the nineteenth centuries. But that’s not all! The art center also plans to open up to other forms of art such as music and fine arts by organizing meetings, conferences or piano recitals. Reason enough to predict a bright future ahead!
