L’OCCITANE World Sight Day 2018

In conjunction with the International World Sight Day in October 2018, L’OCCITANE Malaysia teamed up with SPEC TRUCK again to conduct a series of eye screening at various Corporate Offices, Residence, colleges, Medical Centre as well as media offices. A total of 377 people got examined & screened for detection of eye diseases. In addition, L’OCCITANE Malaysia also sponsored a total of 40 pairs of spectacles to deserving students at SMK-SSAAS School after screening 80 students in total. For the first time ever, L’OCCITANE x SPEC TRUCK together with Sight Fighter Team also reached out to 3 key media offices in Malaysia with a mission to strengthen the brand’s philanthropy mission in fighting avoidable awareness by offering all the employees a complimentary eye check. A total of 95 media rep got their eyes checked.

1st Race For Vision for Malaysians

‘Race For Vision’ was only an internal CSR effort before L’OCCITANE MALAYSIA made it available to public for the first time.  With this, we are the first ever country within the L’OCCITANE GROUP to host this charity fun-run & raised RM 30,000 together with people from all walks of life to benefit the visually-impaired. The funds have been channelled to help screen 1781 primary school students and to sponsor 343 pairs of spectacles to deserving students.

The word ‘Race For Vision’ was only an internal CSR effort before L’OCCITANE MALAYSIA made it available to public for the first time ever for L’OCCITANE GROUP. With this, L’OCCITANE MALAYSIA is the first ever country of the group to host this charity fun-run  & raise RM 30,000 together with people from all walks of life to benefit the visually impaired. L’OCCITANE SpecTruck™ May 2018

L’OCCITANE Malaysia first collaboration with SpecTruck™ to help the poor & needy with visual impairment for free eye-check & eye refractive correction solution as well as proper eye care health education awareness for poor & needy at early stage. L’OCCITANE Malaysia HQ Team together with seven L’OCCITANE SIGHT FIGHTERS reached out to the underprivileged groups – orphanage, single women & senior citizen at Ti-Ratana Welfare Society. A total of 350 children & adults received eye check and 250 of them received their glasses on the same day. The charitable team also donated some used clothes, books, toys & etc.

L’OCCITANE MALAYSIA first blindness prevention event that involved 47 local social media personalities to join us for a dining experience in complete darkness. Apart from successfully raised many great awareness on the importance of preventable eye problems that might lead to blindness, it also opened their eyes in a completely new perspective of the brand in changing life.
